The Fresh Foam More V3 is the most comfortable but you really pay for it, truly otherworldly experience to wear though. As far as fit goes, the toe box on the 993 is noticeably wider, while the v5 is a bit narrower if you go with the 'standard' fit on both. Length is the same. I got TTS on both. Comfort is about the same as you'd expect from NB. The midsoles aren't plush but the overall fit (on both) is better than any other sneaker I've worn before. Size 12 in both. New Balance is my brand. My first pair was the 420. Then I become obsessed with the 998 and later the 1400. I purchased the 990v5 last summer with the intention of wearing them casually, but the pandemic and subsequent quarantine has led me to take up running and now I am inching close to over 200 kilometers in them so far..
